Why Should I Seed?
Reseeding or overseeding your lawn can be done for a number of reasons:
1. Your lawn is thinning out.
If you look down at your lawn and can see bare dirt beyond the blades of grass, then it’s time to seed. Having these bare spots in your lawn will increase the likeliness of weeds sprouting up in your lawn, and create an unsightly scene.
2. You don’t like the way your lawn looks.
If you find that your lawn doesn’t look the way you want with regular fertilizer treatments, seeding or overseeding may be a good option.
Overseeding is when we add a layer of grass seed to your existing lawn in order to thicken up the lawn. Reseeding is when we kill off your existing lawn and start from scratch.

Have you ever walked across your lawn after it rains, and then immediately track mud into your home? What a mess! By thickening up your lawn, you create a stronger barrier between your shoes and the mud below you, thus reducing the amount of footprints that you have to mop up.

When Should I Seed My Lawn?
Seeding is best done in Spring or Early-Mid Fall. Air and soil temperatures during these times of the year allow for optimal germination of grass seeds, and also require less water to be needed following the application.
You can seed during summertime, however you will have to make a greater commitment to keeping the seed watered post application and may not see the same results as you would when done in spring or fall.
